In all spring products, there is no more stringent material requirements than valve springs, especially high stress and shaped cross-section valve springs on the material requirements of the approximate harsh:
High strength: tensile strength 2000 MPa.
Excellent surface quality: the surface does not allow full decarburization, semi-decarburization of the depth of large can not exceed 0.5% of the diameter of the wire, the depth of surface defects of large not more than 40μm, in order to achieve this requirement steel wire in the process, the surface should be stripped and after two ways (through and rotary) of the eddy current detection, defects in parts of the automatic spraying of the logo.
Ultra-pure: the inclusions level of oxides and sulfides are up to level 0, the oxygen content, nitrogen content in the material, as well as the content of copper, aluminum, titanium have control requirements, so the production of valve spring steel needs to be controlled from the source smelting.
Good anti-relaxation properties: valve springs are required to long-term service conditions at 120 ~ 150 ℃, the load decay is less than 5%.
Uniformity of strength: the same disk of material strength difference is not more than 140MPa, shaped cross-section materials such as ovoid cross-section of the curvature of different circles tangent point, elliptical cross-section of the long and short axes have special requirements.
